which had been deafening, i know.
I have been trying to gather my thoughts, as well as deal with a multitude of personal issues which if i have not bored you enough with the details already (face-to-face) then be thankful. . .
but it appears that we may just resume life as usual now
and so. . .
back to the blogging:
Get this - waiting for me at home (my awesome new home mind you!!!) is a packet from the Center for Education Reform. And in that packet are step by step instructions on how to start a school. [Not as thick of a packet as i would have imagined. . . however it is just as daunting nonetheless.]
Daunting in the fact that it takes so many contacts -
media contacts, school board contacts, interested parent contacts, policy maker contacts, teacher contacts, student contacts, city council contacts and a whole lot more. . .
and this just from page 2 of the "GrassRoots move to starting a school" booklet.
but alas, i do love contacts - but not the ones that go in the eyes. . . not really sure how people do that - i have to have help even putting eye drops in my eyes. but that is beside the point.
the point is this:
THERE IS INTEREST.
and given the amount of media coverage already in the newspapers (nearly daily) on the failure of the present day post-industrial age schooling system. . .
THE TIME MAY JUST BE UPON US
to venture out and try new ideas. . . .
so. . . please stay tuned as I resume posting about the PLAN. . . .
